Senior Citycard

The Senior is Citycard is available to permanent city residents of eligible age. The Senior Citycard gives card holders free travel as part of the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme as well as additional travel benefits provided by Nottingham City Council

National Scheme

The English National Travel Concession allows card holders free travel on any local bus services in England between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and at all times at weekends and bank holidays.

In some areas you will needs to show the driver your pass and in some area's you pass will be read electronically.

Please note that your pass is only valid on bus services outside Nottingham, it is not valid on tube or tram services outside Nottingham

Local travel enhancements

The following benefits are only applicable within the Citycard travel scheme area and are only available to Nottingham City passholders

  • Free travel on buses before 7.30am and after 11.00 pm
  • Free travel on NET (tram) at all times except weekdays from 7.30am to 9.30am
  • Free parking and bus/tram travel at Nottingham's seven Park and Ride sites, at all times except weekdays from 7.30am to 9.30am

These additional benefits are funded entirely by Nottingham City Council

Exclusions

Certain bus services are excluded from both the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme and local enhancements, these include premium night buses and National Express services. If you are in any doubt about a particular service please contact the service operator to confirm that your pass will be accepted.
