Jobseekers Citycard - Extended until March 2015!

The Job Seekers Citycard gives people looking for employment access to discounted bus, tram, train and cycle travel.

In difficult economic times, this new scheme helps job hunters travel around Nottingham more easily in search of employment, to job interviews and to training courses.

The scheme allows residents of Nottingham City, Broxtowe Borough and Gedling Borough who have been unemployed for 13 weeks or longer to get a Job Seekers Citycard which allows them to purchase half price Kangaroo day tickets on all bus, tram or train services within the Kangaroo boundary (£2.25 based on 31st August 2014 pricing). Holders of Job Seekers Citycards can also benefit from special rates when using Citycard Cycles.

The Job Seekers Citycard scheme has been extended for a further 12 months and from October 2014 will also be available to residents living in Gedling Borough and Broxtowe Borough (until March 2015). All existing holders who had their card issued before April 2014 will need to re-apply at their local Job Centre.
