Replacement of Kangaroo scratch cards with smart tickets - Update 28/07/14.
As part of our ongoing investment in Nottingham’s transport system, we’re now starting the roll out of the new smart Kangaroo day tickets. Please see the updated information below:
Business customers
We’re now rolling out the new smart day tickets to all business customers.
- Purchasing – Business customers can purchase pre-encoded cards with either 1 or 10 days of Kangaroo travel encoded onto them. There is a minimum order of 100 days (this can be made up of all 1 day, 10 day or a mix of cards) and all cards must be pre-ordered at least 2 working days in advance of collection by emailing [email protected].
- Upgrading – Customers who have existing scratch cards can continue to use them until Sunday, 31st August. After this date they will no longer be valid for travel. Customers holding unused scratch cards may exchange them for smart alternatives from Monday, 4th August. Scratch cards will be swapped on a 1 for 1 basis for pre-encoded cards. Business customers wishing to exchange will need to email [email protected] at least 2 working days before the date they wish to make the exchange.
General public
- Purchasing – Customers can purchase 10 day Kangaroo products from the Broadmarsh Travel Centre. These can either be loaded onto an existing card or a new card can be issued free of charge. 1 day smart tickets are not currently available at our travel centres.
- Upgrading – Customers who have existing scratch cards can continue to use them until Sunday, 31st August. After this date they will no longer be valid for travel.
